My only available power tool is a drill. I had few wood rods so I decide to create a virus out of it using my drill as a lathe. I went for a dodecahedron (as regular as possible) with 20 mushroom-like corner pieces to figure the protein. I first wanted to connect the different pieces using elastic string, however the one I had from my sewing kit where to weak. So I glued everything using string to maintain the pieces while the glue cured. Once the virus was done I found in my basement an aluminium tube juste below 2m long and decide to use it for creating chimes. I have found a spread-sheet computing tube length on Lee Hite's site (http://leehite.org/Chimes.htm) works perfectly!
